The game: Patriots at Vikings
The beer: Berkshire Turkey Trotter Brown Ale
The result: Loss, 33–26
The method: NFL+
The headline: “Who could imagine that they would freak out in Minnesota? Who could imagine?” – Mothers of Invention, “Help, I’m a Rock”
The commentary: I got no time to write this, baby. But Mike Reiss, non-amateur blog-man and silver-lining enthusiast, sure got time to read back issues and pile the fuck on years late.
Safety Devin McCourty seemed a step slow or took bad angles at times, such as on Justin Jefferson catches of six yards (1Q/10:44), twenty-one yards (2Q/14:21), thirty-seven yards (2Q, 5:08) and thirty-six yards (3Q/10:27). In fairness, Jefferson can make a lot of defensive backs look that way.
In fairness, McCourty has been perfecting bad angles for a solid decade. Also in fairness: quick sizzle never dies!
